Talosusū Kailani Niko is a 23-year-old emerging interdisciplinary artist originally born in Tāmakimakaurau, Aotearoa (South Auckland, New Zealand), and raised in Dharawal Country (Campbelltown) in Sydney’s South-West, where they currently reside. They are of Sāmoan heritage, hailing from the villages of Solosolo, Faleapuna, Niusuatia, and Iva (Savai’i), and also identify with the indigenous third-gender of ‘fa'afafine,’ also known as a transgender woman.
Talosusū is currently completing a Bachelor in Media, Culture and Communication, with a minor in Decolonisation and the Global South at Macquarie University. They are also a member of Australia’s local ballroom kiki scene, participating as a ‘007’.
