We're thrilled to be entering the third year of our groundbreaking multi-arts endeavour, FUTURE COMMUNITIES.

This initiative invites artists to participate in our Artist in Residence (AIR) program, offering a distinctive opportunity to explore the essence of community, creativity, and resource-sharing.

Four talented artists will embark on a year-long journey of discovery and expression. Rooted in the principles of holding space and fostering collaboration, our residency aims to cultivate daring, thought-provoking works that resonate deeply with our current societal landscape.

Selected participants will relish in a two-month residency, complete with their own dedicated studio space within the Red Rattler.

At the core of our program lies a steadfast commitment to diversity, inclusion, and innovation. Through the creative pursuits of our residents, we endeavor to challenge societal paradigms, expand horizons, and honor the diverse spectrum of human experiences.

Our initiative aims to:

• Explore groundbreaking concepts and push the boundaries of art to address issues of race, class, sexuality, gender, ability, and age.

• Empower artists from various backgrounds and disciplines, offering them a platform to showcase their unique talents.

• Cultivate vibrant artistic communities, fostering experiences that enrich social, mental, and economic well-being both locally and globally.

• Recognize and champion excellence in artistic practice, ensuring our artists receive the recognition and support they rightfully deserve.
