Kilia Tipa Pahulu is a Fakaleiti artist from Western Sydney, originally from Auckland, New Zealand now living on Gadigal Country. A community leader, educator, mover and maker.
She works regularly on a myriad of highly respected art projects as an artist art director and producer across the fields of experimental live art, visual art, music, dance and film.
She moves freely between being a regular performer at underground queer parties to working for leading art institutions in Eora including Carriageworks, The Art Gallery of NSW, Museum of Contemporary Art, Art Space, Powerhouse Museum and Campbelltown Arts Centre to name a few.
Known as the ‘Godmother of Ballroom’ in Eora she is now the lead artistic Producer of the iconic Sissy Ball.
