“Think a Frankenstein’s monster of traditional Irish, Jewish, Polish and Russian folk, polka and zydeco all mashed up together with a slamming drill sergeant punk brutality…it’s the exact same source that Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds, Grinderman, Baseball ,Sailors Of Swine and Rocket Science all derive their volatile energy from.. Love it or hate it you cant but help move like a madman to it! “ Faster Louder The Barons of Tang @ Jade Monkey Live Review 2009

New Weird Australia presents the next event in its 2010 series featuring Anonymeye, Erasers, Ambrose Chapel, TR-IO & Emily McDaniel*.
A FREE 5-TRACK EP featuring artists from the show is available to download at http://newweirdaustralia.bandcamp.com.
*Unfortunately, due to illness, previously billed Textile Audio will be unable to perform. We wish her well and thank Emily McDaniel for agreeing to take part at late notice!
ANONYMEYE (QLD) a renowned experimental musician from Brisbane, Australia who reconfigures various country and folk musics within a sonic framework that utilisies acoustic guitar, signal processing, synthesisers, and effects units. Anonymeye's second full length album 'The Disambiguation Of Anonymeye' is out now on the sound&fury label.
ERASERS (WA) - a Perth duo with a set full of songs made up of primitive & tribal beats, melodic guitar loops, atmospheric synth and chanting vocals; creating dreamy yet somewhat disconcerting post-punk. They have performed with the likes of Love of Diagrams and Pikelet and embark on their first east coast tour in support of their new 7″ EP, "Autumn" ON Metal Postcard.
AMBROSE CHAPEL (QLD) - the solo project of Brisbane musician Ian Rogers (of No Anchor and formerly of AXXONN).who explores new sounds, production techniques and modes of performance. The results are epic, taking the ominous bass experiments of his doom metal band No Anchor and marrying them to AXXONN's more sophisticated and tranquil palate.
TR-I0 (LUKASZ KARLUK & GENTLEFORCE) (NSW) - a generative audio / video interactive installation with complex geometric forms, seen earlier this year at Sydney's Dorkbot, with music from Sydney's Gentleforce.
EMILY MCDANIEL (NSW) - Emily McDaniel is a Sydney based sound artist, dabbling in performance, installation and radiophonic work.
New Weird Australia is a not-for-profit initiative designed to promote and support new eclectic and experimental Australian music. Our current projects include a free compilation series (available to download every two months), a weekly radio show and podcast seris on Sydney's FBi Radio, and an irregular program of live events. http://www.newweirdaustralia.com

Be sure to catch these dynamic, idiosyncratic performances featuring two solo experimental musicians from Melbourne: Melodies and Penguins, as well as odd pop improv outfit Crab Smasher from Newcastle and lush atmospherical act, Alps, who is recently back from an overseas tour.
Penguins has been both a solo and band project for the past 18 months, touring NSW in February earlier this year, constantly organising shows in Melbourne and distributing numerous self-produced recordings.
Melodies is a new project of Damian Clarkson (Sun Of Clark, St Helens). He has recently self made and released a debut album comprising ambient/atmospheric/unexplainable soundscapes.
